September 03, 2011 - Cowboys Stadium - ARLINGTON, Texas. Eight days before beginning his senior season, LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee learned he would start the LSU opener against Oregon, it would be his first start since the 2009 season. Prior to that, Lee thought he would be Jordan Jefferson's backup QB against the Oregon Duck team that had lost to the Auburn Tigers (or War Eagles???) in the previous year's 2010 BCS Championship game. Jarrett Lee stood up to the challenge and done good!
With Jarrett Lee handing off the ball to Spencer Ware and Michael Ford, whom subsequently ran the ball behind a very strong offense line, LSU required Jarrett Lee to do very little in the passing game vs the Oregon Ducks. QB Lee completed 10 of 22 passes for 98 yards and one touchdown in the 40-27 victory over the #3 Oregon Ducks. LSU's game plan was executed to perfection, run, run, run, throw only when you have too.
#11 Spencer Ware ran for 99 yards on 26 carries. Michael Ford ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, giving LSU a lethal one-two punch in the rushing game behind a veteran offensive line

The Ducks sucked. 4 turnovers for 20 points, almost 100 yards in penalties. Tough to win a game that way. Ducks only looked good in the last 2 minutes, when LSU offered no opposition...
I think Oregon should ban those Gleux Duck uniforms. LSU wins with great SEC defense and an outstanding punter. Or-a-gone loses from penalties, turnovers, and a long field. The Gleux Ducks only looked good in the last 2 minutes, when LSU did not resist.
